Arizona, October 2022
Arizona was a mixed bag. On one hand, it’s gorgeous, on the other hand… well. Many trails were poorly-built and maintained, it was impossible to find camping on BLM/NF in many areas, and we arrived at the beginning of snowbird season, so found ourselves stuck in mind-numbing traffic more often than we’d like. We made the best of our time in Flagstaff, Sedona, Phoenix, and the Grand Canyon, enjoying the vibrant scenery, friend reunions, and surprisingly excellent food. While I don’t think we’ll be rushing back anytime soon (except maybe to Flagstaff, which we loved), I’m grateful I got to spend a little more time here and finally see the Grand Canyon.
